Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) Support

An Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) is brain damage that occurs after birth due to an external force or medical condition—such as trauma, stroke, infection, or lack of oxygen. The impact of an ABI can vary widely, with effects ranging from mild to severe. Individuals may experience fatigue, emotional and behavioural changes, and differences in cognitive, sensory, or physical functioning.

At Nechako Community Resources, we recognize that each person’s journey with ABI is unique, and we are committed to supporting individuals in regaining independence, confidence, and quality of life.

How We Support Adults with ABI

Our Acquired Brain Injury support services are designed to provide holistic, person-centered care to adults living with the effects of brain injury. We understand the challenges faced not only by the individuals but also by their families and caregivers.
